From Humble Beginnings

This property stands on land deeply connected to our history. What is now a boutique hotel was once a modest two-bedroom board house, with just two windows, where Owner Delroy Allen grew up with his single mother and four siblings.

Through vision, hard work, and determination, that humble beginning has evolved into the Takuma Boutique Hotel you see today—a place that reflects growth, perseverance, and purpose.

Located in the historic Mount Zion community, the hotel is surrounded by heritage landmarks, including the Mount Zion United Church, built in 1838 by our founder's great-great-grandfather, Takuma, and the Mount Zion School, which has served generations of our family and community.
